25th Anniversary Suzuki GSX-R600

After 25 years of GSX-R750 which was inaugurated at the end of 2009, Suzuki GB has now released a special edition 25th Anniversary GSX-R600, only 25 units will be produced. The special edition is limited to just 25 models and comes with a Yoshimura exhaust, top yoke plaque and a certificate and will cost £8799 - £1000 over the standard bike.
The new Suzuki GSX-R600 comes with added midrange and low down grunt, but virtually the same at the top end as the old model. But that does not make it slow - far from it and in many ways makes the bike more usable, especially on the road. It doesn’t have the same top end rush of the new Yamaha R6 or Kawasaki ZX-6R, but it's by no means slow.

The new Suzuki GSX-R600 now comes with a slipper clutch as standard, and suspension at both ends is fully adjustable as you would expect from a supersport 600. What makes the GSX-R600 different is the three way mode switch which enables the rider to choose different power modes. A is full power, B mode is 80% and C mode is only 60% which equates to around 65bhp.

2010 will also see the inclusion of two fuel injectors per cylinder, a three-way selectable fuel map system (street, sport, rain), and a healthy dose of titanium pieces in the motor and chassis. If all (or even part) of these rumors are true, Suzuki will have once again raised the bar on the middleweight sportbike market.
