Geely has unveiled its Emgrand GT plug-in hybrid coupe at the Beijing Motor show to make its presence felt as a top-flight player in the industry. With its classic sports car proportions and overdone grille, the car is too attractive and eco friendly at the same time. Coming from the Geely’s new top-level Emgrand sub-brand, GT features a plug-in hybrid with a 2.4-liter inline-four that produces 160hp and 165 pound-feet of torque. On the other, there are two 27.5-kilowatt hub motors that not only increase the engine output but also give the GT all-wheel-drive capability. Each motor add 132 foot-pounds of torque to Emgrand GT which is targeted for a 2014 introduction.
