It was just a while we introduced a Mosquito Sculpture made out of scrap car and bulldozer parts, and this time we are introducing you to a Robot sculpture prepared from 2005 BMW 645CI convertible parts. Christened as ‘Robot Sculpture 1’ with its dimensions at 68×34x22, the sculpture was made by Bruce Gray, commissioned by a client who demolished his 2005 BMW 645CI convertible in an accident.
Most of the parts used are cast aluminum with existing brackets and mounting holes. In the creative hands of Bruce Gray, the parts used are altered that makes it difficult to figure out as to which parts are originally used. Additionally, the robot features a movable head, movable upper arm and a forearm that raises, simulated energy pulse gun with movable joystick/fire button controller and a hand that can be moved in different directions. Also, heavy steel plates from train tracks were used to make robot’s feet and whole machine collectively weighs 240 pounds.
